FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Large shopping mall in Fairfax Va. is seeking a proactive problem solver to join their Facilities Maintenance team. The position is responsible maintaining the entire asset of the shopping center, including electrical, plumbing, roof, hvac, and entire building envelope.
Basic Requirements:
• At least 5 years experience in maintaining and repairing building systems such as HVAC, Electrical, plumbing, minor carpentry, etc in a commercial building environment.
• Minimum 5 years experience with power tools and measurement instruments in the performance of various electrical & mechanical repairs, troubleshooting & fabrication tasks, ability to read electrical & mechanical prints & technical documentation.
• Valid Driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Availability to work some weekends and nights
Additional Requirements:
• Exhibit problem solving aptitude in the repair & troubleshooting of all facility machinery & support equipment
• A Team player that can build and maintain relationships with center staff, merchants, suppliers, vendors, etc.
• Shows initiative to raise & broaden technical skill level.
• Ability to follow all safety policies in the performance of job assignments in order to provide a safe working environment for all associates.
• Needs to successfully assess and manage time & work priorities as conditions change throughout the day.
• Experience in documenting repair and preventive maintenance tasks as well as parts usage using a computerized maintenance system.
