Shopping Center’s Trick-Or-Treating Event Is One Of The Largest Family Halloween Events In The Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area

One of the most popular Halloween traditions in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area will continue this Monday, October 31 from 6 – 8 p.m. when Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, Virginia presents its 24th annual MALL-O-WEEN. Children are invited to dress in costumes and trick-or-treat store-to-store throughout the shopping center with more than 190 specialty stores, services and restaurants while their family and friends discover special Halloween discounts and offers at participating locations.

Fair Oaks Mall’s distinctive 760 square foot Fountain Court will be filled with dry ice, offering a uniquely eerie backdrop for the Halloween evening. New this year to MALL-O-WEEN will be such costumed characters as witches and ghosts strolling throughout the mall greeting children as the wander through the second largest shopping mall in the state of Virginia.
More than 10,000 children and their family and friends are expected to participate in this year’s Mall-O-Ween, marking the event as one of the largest of its kind. Offering a safe and weather-friendly indoor environment, Fair Oaks Mall is conveniently located at the intersection of I-66 and Route 50 with more than 7,700 parking spaces.
